Amanda lerchie, ma

licensed professional counselor - intern

supervised by lindsay ballinger, lpc-s

Each person has the ability to experience growth and change during the counseling process.  I work from a collaborative approach to help my clients develop and focus on their unique therapy goals.  I believe that each person deserves respect, compassion, and grace throughout their counseling journey.  It is my goal to understand and connect with my clients on a deeper level, so that the therapy process is personal and productive.

I work from a Client-Centered Therapy and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy approach.  I frequently integrate traditional talk therapy with creative modalities like expressive arts, play therapy, sand tray therapy, and mindfulness-based therapy, which helps in creating an authentic, therapeutic space.  While I enjoy working with individuals from all backgrounds and beliefs, I can additionally implement faith-based Christian counseling.

My special interests are working with children and families with special needs and mental health issues.  I am a Licensed Professional Counselor-Intern, supervised by Lindsay Ballinger, LPC-S, in the state of Texas.  I received my B.A. in Applied Behavioral Sciences from Ashford University, and my M.A. in Professional Counseling from Liberty University.

I work with children, adolescents, adults, families, and groups. Other areas of interest include, but are not limited to: self-esteem, coping skills, stress management, anxiety, depression, grief and loss, issues that influence academic & job performance, life transitions, parenting, and communication.

Amanda works out of ROCC’s McKinney office. To schedule an appointment directly with her, please call 214-326-3455 or email at
