Amanda grew up in Louisiana before relocating to the McKinney area with her husband and 3 children. She completed her undergraduate degree in Applied Behavioral Sciences from Ashford University in Clinton, Iowa. She is currently a pre-licensed Professional Counseling Practicum student at Liberty University in Lynchburg, Virginia.
Amanda has first-hand experience in witnessing how counseling can help individuals and families. She brings her own experiences and a Christian perspective to her collaborative and eclectic approach to working with clients. She believes that each person deserves respect, compassion, and grace during their counseling experience.
She has a passion for working with families and children with disabilities and mental health issues. Other areas of interest include: coping skills, stress management, anxiety, depression, grief and loss, issues that influence academic & job performance, life transitions, parenting, and communication skills. Amanda offers therapy to individuals, children/adolescents, families, and couples.
