Denzel (he, him, his) received his Master of Arts in Counseling Psychology from Texas Woman’s University (TWU), and he is currently pursuing his PhD in Counseling Psychology from Texas Woman’s University.

Denzel’s professional interests include working with LGBTQIA+ individuals in the development of their sexual/affectual orientation and/or gender identity/expression; navigating interpersonal relationship concerns and dynamics; and mood management. Other professional interests include emerging adulthood, identity development, and multicultural awareness related to intersectionality within cultural identities. Denzel has experience working with adolescents, adults, couples, and families.

His approach to therapy is grounded in interpersonal psychotherapy (IPT) and attachment theory. Denzel’s approach is further enhanced by the inclusion of techniques from interpersonal process (IPP), multicultural therapy, and LGBTQ-affirmative therapy.
