Dr. Dieudra Calhoun is a post-doctoral fellow from the Texas School of Professional Psychology at Argosy University Dallas, where she earned her doctorate in Clinical Psychology. She also obtained a Master of Science degree in Guidance and Counseling from Jackson State University in Jackson, Mississippi. Prior to acquiring her graduate degrees, Dieudra received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from the University of Southern Mississippi in Hattiesburg, Mississippi.
She has worked in both the public and private sectors, providing therapy and administering psychological assessments. She completed her clinical internship with the North Texas Pain Recovery Center in Arlington, Texas. Additional experience include: the Seagoville Youth and Family Center, as well as the Alexander Center for Obesity under the guidance of neuropsychologist Dr. Cynthia Galt.
Dieudra’s experience also includes working with individuals from various age groups and cultural backgrounds. With twelve years of previous teaching experience, she especially enjoys working with children. Her skills have involved the treatment of behavioral issues, anxiety, depression, and relational/interpersonal issues. Her theoretical orientation includes: cognitive and behavioral therapy, person-centered therapy, and solution focused. Her goal is to help others challenge and empower themselves as they embark upon the journey to improve their mental and emotional well-being.
