master's student in counseling

supervised by michael leach, phd

I am a graduate student pursuing a Master of Science in Counseling at the University of North Texas at Dallas and currently fulfilling my practicum requirement at Richland Oaks Counseling Center. Prior to this program, I received a Master of Arts in Biblical Studies.

I am deeply honored to sit with each client and explore whatever it is that led them to therapy (and often times far more than that!). I approach therapy from an integrative perspective, and draw heavily upon mindfulness-based practices, existential philosophy, and cognitive behavior therapy. Some of my practice interests include multicultural and social justice issues; identity development; Christianity and Buddhism; and mind-body relationship.

I believe that each client has it within themselves to get unstuck and live a rich, satisfying life. My goal (and my hope) is to help facilitate that growth and open up new ways that may have been previously unknown to the client.
