I graduated from the University of North Texas with a Master of Arts in School Psychology (2001) and Ph.D. in Health Psychology and Behavioral Medicine (2003). I completed my pre-doctoral internship at St. James Hospital and Healthcare System in Olympia Fields, Illinois, and my post-doctoral experience at Cook Children’s Hospital and Lewisville Independent School District. I am a licensed psychologist and a licensed specialist in school psychology.
My area of focus is the treatment of children and adolescents with behavioral, emotional, and social difficulties. I believe it is critical to work closely with not only your child or adolescent, but also with you, the parents, and other key figures in your child’s or adolescent’s life. We will work together, as a team, to clearly understand the issues that brought you to therapy and implement a plan to address those issues. Working together as a team provides your child or adolescent with important skills and effective strategies aimed at feeling better, while also building your skills and confidence to provide the support necessary for sustained improvement.
