lisa o’connor

master's student in counseling

supervised by sean blackburn, lpc

As a practicum student at ROCC, Lisa is working to complete her Master of Science degree in Counseling through Texas A&M Commerce University. After obtaining her undergraduate degree in business in the 1980’s, she worked in several different fields and raised a family, eventually finding her way into counseling.

Lisa is passionate about finding one’s path to healing and growth. Using a client centered orientation and non-directive approach, her goal is to empower her clients to create what they desire by fully experiencing then developing an understanding of what is holding them back, thus facilitating the needed changes in thoughts, feelings and actions.

While she is honored to walk beside a client through any life journey, her areas of particular interest are parenting/family issues, divorce issues, and life transitions. She especially enjoys working with adolescents and young adults in their struggle with identity development and transition into adulthood.

Lisa works out of ROCC’s Richardson office. To schedule an appointment with her, please call 469-619-7622 or email ROCC's Richardson office at
