Lisa O’Connor

licensed professional Counselor

A better life is possible. Love. Connection. Peace. Healing. They are all possible…if you are willing to work to discover, understand, and change what gets in the way of experiencing these blessings. Counseling can help you do this.

I am a client-centered, attachment-oriented National Certified Counselor and Licensed Professional Counselor with an M.S. in Clinical Mental Health counseling from Texas A&M Commerce. Using a psychodynamic approach in a non-judgmental environment, my goal is to work collaboratively with you to uncover the unconscious beliefs, assumptions, and fears that keep you from having the life and relationships you desire.

My passion is helping families create more satisfying and supportive connections with each other. This involves being comfortable working with couples, individuals, young adults, and adolescents. I have experience working with parenting challenges, couples experiencing relationship conflict, young adults negotiating their own identities separate from their families, adolescents with behavioral difficulties, coping with a chronic health condition, depression, self-esteem issues, anxiety, and domestic violence. To tailor my support to my clients’ specific needs, I utilize meditation, mindfulness, spirituality, imagery/visualization and cognitive behavioral techniques when appropriate.

Lisa offers telehealth only. To schedule an appointment with her, please call 406-813-0602 or email at Lisa.OConnor@richlandoaks.org.
