Michelle earned her Master of Arts in Professional Counseling from Amberton University. She is recognized as a Licensed Professional Counselor - Intern in the state of Texas. Michelle’s education and experience gives her a wide perspective in working with many different kinds of clients and issues. She has a specific interest in providing an opportunity for clients who want to integrate their faith into the counseling process. She has worked with Cook Children's Hospital of Fort Worth, as well as with survivors of domestic violence at Genesis Women’s Shelter and Support.
Michelle provides counseling services to adolescents, adults, families, and couples. She works with individuals facing a variety of issues including anxiety, depression, post-traumatic stress, self-harm, bipolar disorders, ADHD, domestic violence, relationship issues, addiction, and eating disorders. Tailoring treatment plans to meet the individual needs of each client, Michelle utilizes cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), solution focused brief therapy (SFBT), and John Gottman's methods in couples' therapy. As a Family Tree provider, Michelle is able to offer 4-6 sessions of free counseling to families who are experiencing conflict and have a youth age 17 or under.
