Dr. Gayoso is a Licensed Psychologist from the Texas School of Professional Psychology at Argosy University Dallas where she earned her Doctorate and Master of Arts in Clinical Psychology. She obtained hers Bachelor’s of Science in Psychology with a minor in Criminal Justice from The University of Maryland University College. Her overall experience includes clinical training in private practice, juvenile and adult correction, and in the school systems.
Dr. Gayoso has extensive experience in a variety of Psychological Assessments, testing for: ADHD, Learning Disabilities and Giftedness, Academic Achievement, Personality Disorders, Mood Disturbance, Mental Health Disorder Diagnostic Considerations, Medication consideration, Forensic purposes, and Neuropsychological functioning.
More specifically, Dr. Gayoso has experience helping children, adolescents, adults, couples, and families work through a variety of issues and conflicts. She has worked with at-risk youth and their families; individuals who suffer from depression, anxiety, and various other mental health disorders; couples with communication difficulties; and crisis intervention. Her theoretical orientation includes: Systems Theory encompassed in Solution-Focused Therapy, Cognitive-Behavior Therapy, and Person-Centered Therapy.
