Sometimes you just feel stuck in life, and you don’t know what to do to fix things. You just know something isn’t working. As your counselor, I will be here to help work through these struggles together. I believe in a collaborative approach to counseling, which means that I strive to create a non-judgmental environment where clients feel comfortable actively engaging in the counseling process. I utilize Cognitive Behavioral Therapy to aid my clients in learning coping skills and strategies that will enable them to confront life’s problems.

I received a Master of Science in Counseling from the University of North Texas, and I am currently pursuing my PhD in Counseling from Texas A&M University-Commerce. My training and experience have equipped me to work with adolescents, adults, groups, and families to address a variety of concerns including anxiety, depression, LGBTQ+ concerns, multicultural issues, and adjustment concerns. I also have additional training and experience in working with culturally and linguistically diverse populations and medically under-served communities.

Sarah works out of ROCC’s McKinney office. To schedule an appointment directly with her, please call 214-620-0339 or email at Sarah.Silveus@richlandoaks.org.
