jeremy cooper, Phd

licensed professional counselor - Supervisor

Welcome! Jeremy has years of experience, training, and research in understanding the ways repeated trauma, doubt, and dissociation affect an individual at the core of their identity. His approach is an inquisitive and engaging attempt to help those that are struggling identify, name, and work through past and present hurts. Using a psychoanalytic approach to sessions, his work looks at the depth of one’s experiences and the meaning behind the manifesting symptoms.

Jeremy seeks to model ingenuity and humility. Integral to his work is the desire to help patients reconnect with what has become inaccessible over time and to lead a healthier, fulfilling life. His areas of expertise are working with those that are suffering from Dissociative Disorders (depersonalization-derealization and DID), grief, and self-esteem. He is open to working with cases that other clinicians may find difficult to treat because he knows these individuals oftentimes have a lot to say and teach us.

Jeremy is a Licensed Professional Counselor and holds a PhD in Counseling & Psychological Studies. Alongside his practice, he teaches in a graduate counseling program and researches how phenomenology can help us better understand the nature of symptoms.

Jeremy works out of ROCC’s Richardson office where he provides both individual services and supervises Masters-level students and LPC Associates. To schedule an appointment directly with him, please call 214-810-5861 or email at Jeremy.Cooper@richlandoaks.org.

Jeremy accepts BCBS, Aetna, Baylor Scott & White, and TriCare West.
