Maritza Marquez

doctoral student in counseling psychology

supervised by Kelleigh Head, PsyD

Hello, my name is Maritza! I am a practicum student under the supervision of Dr. Kelleigh Head.

Whether you are navigating anxiety, working through family-related concerns, or seeking therapy for the first time, I offer a safe and supportive space where you can feel heard and understood. I believe that authentic connection, trust, and a sense of safety are the foundation of any meaningful therapeutic relationship—elements I strive to foster through a collaborative process.

My approach is grounded in a multicultural and feminist perspective, and I draw from person-centered and relational-cultural therapy to empower and support my clients. As a bilingual English/Spanish speaker, I provide services in both languages, honoring the vital role that culture, heritage, and community play in shaping each person's experience.

Together, we will work to make sense of things, identify themes and goals, and provide tools to support you in building a more fulfilling and authentic life.

Maritza works out of ROCC’s Richardson office. To schedule an appointment with her, please call 469-619-7622 or email ROCC's office at ROCC@richlandoaks.org.

We don’t hear much about how painful it is to go from being completely stuck to becoming unstuck. The process of becoming unstuck requires tremendous bravery, because basically we are completely changing our way of perceiving reality, like changing our DNA. We are undoing a pattern that is just not our pattern. It’s the human pattern.
