I began working with children in the mental health field over seventeen years ago while obtaining my B.A. at the University of Colorado, Colorado Springs. During my master's and doctoral education, I worked with adults as well as elementary-aged children in area schools, Boys and Girls Clubs, and other community-based locations in San Diego and the surrounding areas. After graduation I relocated to Texas, where I worked with children and their families inside their homes throughout Collin County in North Texas. This incredible experience provided me an amazing opportunity to experience the dynamics that home life and environment have on behavior and functioning in children and their support network. At Richland Oaks Counseling Center, I am enjoying the opportunity of working with a brilliant interdisciplinary team of LPCs, psychologists, and mental health specialists. The greatest thing about my team is that there is someone to help everyone in your family who may need us. That is the key behind symbiotic therapy that we provide here at ROCC.

Due to my rich and diverse experiences with children and their families, my techniques are rooted in the belief that children are amazingly adaptable and capable beings. The families of these children are resilient beyond their own comprehension, and my work utilizes the innate strengths of families to help them work beyond life's inevitable obstacles, and on to a stronger functioning family.

Please contact me when you are ready to begin the process of change for you, your children, and your family.
