Kynnedy Foreman
doctoral student in counseling psychology
supervised by Kelleigh Head, PsyD
Hello, my name is Kynnedy Foreman, and I am a Counseling Psychology doctoral student at Texas Woman’s University, working under the supervision of Kelleigh Head, PsyD. I earned my Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Prairie View A&M University.
My approach to therapy is trauma-informed, relational, and collaborative. I draw from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Interpersonal Process Therapy, and Relational-Cultural Theory to help clients better understand the connections between their thoughts, emotions, relationships, and experiences. I also recognize that our identities, families, communities, and broader environments can influence how we understand ourselves and the challenges we face.
I enjoy working with adults exploring identity development, intergenerational trauma, and stress. I believe therapy should be a space where you feel comfortable being yourself and exploring what matters to you without judgment. Together, we can identify patterns, build on existing strengths, and work toward meaningful changes that support your goals.
Outside of clinical work, I enjoy reading, traveling, trying new coffee spots, and watching horror and thriller movies.
Kynnedy works out of ROCC’s Richardson office. To schedule an appointment with her, please call our office at 469-619-7622 or email the office at ROCC@richlandoaks.org.
“We don’t hear much about how painful it is to go from being completely stuck to becoming unstuck. The process of becoming unstuck requires tremendous bravery, because basically we are completely changing our way of perceiving reality, like changing our DNA. We are undoing a pattern that is just not our pattern. It’s the human pattern.”
