Kelsy Lopez

doctoral student in Counseling psychology

supervised by Asra Khan, Phd

Hello! It’s so great to meet you. My name is Kelsy Lopez and I am currently pursuing my doctorate degree in clinical psychology at The Chicago School. I am currently in my 3rd year and I have a passion in working with both younger and older adults to aid in depression, anxiety, ADHD, and various interpersonal relationships. I have a mixed-methods approach with a basis of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Center-Focused Therapy. I believe that learning about our thoughts, feelings, and actions in a safe and judgment-free environment is important when learning about ourselves. I just celebrated my first year of marriage and we love watching fun reality shows, Star Wars, and Sunday night football. Fun hobbies include hanging out with friends, doodling, and self-care. Life is all about balance! I have a huge passion for psychology, and I love working with people from all walks of life. Feel free to reach out!

Kelsy works out of ROCC’s Richardson office. To schedule an appointment with her, please call 469-619-7622 or email ROCC's office at ROCC@richlandoaks.org.

We don’t hear much about how painful it is to go from being completely stuck to becoming unstuck. The process of becoming unstuck requires tremendous bravery, because basically we are completely changing our way of perceiving reality, like changing our DNA. We are undoing a pattern that is just not our pattern. It’s the human pattern.
